Protein engineering lab (2) focuses mainly on recombinant production and purification of engineered proteins important as therapeutic agents or disease related targets.
Different Chromatography based techniques such as ion exchange, size exclusion and affinity chromatographies are routinely used for purification processes.
In this lab, phage display method is extensively employed for identification of novel peptides/antibodies against targets of interests.
Moreover, different molecular modeling techniques such as molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation and QSAR are utilized for in Silico designing of novel ligands.
