Background History

Biotechnology research is a major focus at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. The Center is designed to reinforce on this strength by facilitating research collaboration between highly productive research teams that extend across departmental boundaries. These collaborations are established to bring together complementary research efforts in biochemistry, molecular biology,  genetics and computer sciences .

The Biotechnology Research Center (BRC) was established in April 2006 to function as center of excellence in the field of biotechnology at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. The Center is designed to reinforce on this strength by facilitating research collaboration between highly productive research teams that extend across departmental boundaries. These collaborations are established to bring together complementary research efforts in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics and computer sciences.

Our vision is to be the leading research center by conducting groundbreaking innovative researches in the field of biotechnology in the national and international scales.

Mission

Our mission at Biotechnology Research Center is to promote and facilitate faculty and student researches in all of the biotechnology related areas. The center provides technical support for research as a nucleus for interdisciplinary research and training initiatives at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences.

To corporate developments in the national and international biotechnology industries

The BRC is a member of Iran High-Tech Laboratory Network and Labsnet.ir
